Champions League round-up: Arsenal beat Dinamo Zagreb as Man City collapse against PSG

It’s been a crazy night of Champions League action and I need a lie down.

And here is the play-off places as they stand. Aston Villa will be hoping to push up in the top eight, as will a host of other clubs on 13 points.

City are just outside the play-off places in 25th, but are in touching distance and have a better goal difference than Club Brugge who they play in the final gameweek.

Liverpool and Barcelona have already secured their places in the top eight, but Arsenal and Inter Milan are looking very comfortable on 16 points as well.

And the full-time whistle swiftly follows and it’s a remarkable turnaround from the home side to take all three points.

For City, they now HAVE to win next week at home against Club Brugge or they will not progress into the knockout stages.

And PSG have won it!

Ramos’s goal is initially ruled out for offside but after a lengthy VAR check the goal is given after Gvardial is adjudged to have diverted the ball into the Portuguese striker’s path.

90+3 mins: A last-ditch corner comes to nothing for City as Donnarumma is fouled inside the box.

City’s hopes are rapidly fading away.

A comfortable win for Mikel Arteta’s side as they all-but confirm their spot in the last-16 of the Champions League.

And just as I speak, Arsenal have their third as Odegaard bundles home Trossard’s cross from close range.

87 mins: There’s been no such drama at the Emirates. A flurry of corners from Rice are defended well by the visitors who have failed to offer any real attacking threat of their own.

The Gunners are third in the Champions League table as things stand.

The visitors are running out of time.

83 mins: OFFSIDE! So nearly a fourth for PSG as Dembele slams home at the back post, but the offside flag goes up swiftly against the French winger.

Vitinha’s free-kick delivery from the right goes flies all the way through a crowded box but Neves is there at the back post, stooping superbly to head home past Ederson and give PSG the lead.

City were 2-0 up ten minutes into this second half but are now in a world of trouble and outside the play-off positions as things stand.

74 mins: Another double change for Arsenal as Kieran Tierney replaces Oleksandr Zinchenko and Kai Havertz makes way for Leandro Trossard.

70 mins: OFF THE BAR! What a wonderful bit of skill and a riproaring effort from Dembele but, fortunately for the visitors, it richocets off the bar and clear.

So close to a third for PSG.

Havertz rises well to nod home Martinelli’s cross into the far corner. The Gunners have been firmly in control and are crusing to a win that should seal their spot in the top eight.

A simply ridiculous 15 minutes or so in this second half and, having gone two goals down, the home side are not back level.

Arsenal still have their one-goal lead and have made a double change, with Nwaneri and Partey coming on for Sterling and Timber.
