Dale Earnhardt Jr. won the Daytona 500, then joined Twitter
A few hours after winning the Daytona 500 and snapping a 55-race losing streak, Dale Earnhardt Jr. celebrated in the most fitting of ways.
He took a selfie.
Of course, this isn't just any normal selfie. Dale Jr.'s first selfie was also his first tweet. Yep, Dale Earnhardt Jr. was making history all over the place on Sunday.
"Winning this race is the greatest feeling that you can feel in this sport, aside from accepting trophy for the championship," said Earnhardt. "I didn't know if I'd ever get a chance to feel that again."
Clearly, he hasn't yet experienced the joy of tweeting a totally hilarious reference to True Detective.
Junior followed up his first tweet with an equally awesome post. This time, the selfie included a bronze statue of his father in the background.
Please let Dale Jr.'s Twitter handle be solely comprised of selfies forever.
